Alpaca Keeper Experience

All experiences begin with a safety chat and introduction to our lovely alpaca boys - Aubree, Benjen, Davos, Marsden, Sunset, Blackberry, Dandelion, Burdock, Erik, Merlin, Battenberg, Hawthorne, Levi, Saladin and Vaudeville. We will show you how to be around them, including how to handle them if walking and give you an insight into their unique personalities.

Throughout the day you will be hands-on with all husbandry tasks such as preparing and giving the alpacas breakfast, poo picking, haltering and even a chance to walk your favourite alpaca. As we are open to the public for our experiences, you will also be “The Alpaca Man’s” sidekick, assisting with our everyday experiences such as walking with alpacas and meet the alpacas. This means you will get the chance to be on “both sides of the fence,” enjoying the experience and also being part of the Lower Bush Alpacas team.

We will share with you as much of our own knowledge as we can but please feel free to ask as many questions as you like. You can also take lots of photos too so don't forget your camera / phone.

What to bring

We will be outside all day so please wear clothing and footwear appropriate for the weather /season. You are welcome to free tea and coffee but will need to bring a packed lunch, cold drink and snacks. Lastly, your phone or camera to capture your memorable day.
